“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness & wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness”

(Romans 1:16-18)

What would you think of a doctor who knew you had a life-threatening disease BUT chose not to tell you the truth about your condition for fear you might not come back? Sadly, spiritually speaking, that is exactly what is happening in countless churches today… “They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious.  They say, ‘Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace” (Jeremiah 6:14).

Unfortunately, it gets worse, countless “patients” are as misguided as their “bad doctors.” Even though the gospel guarantees eternal healing for all who “repent and believe” (Mark 1:15) in Jesus, the Christ – “the broad road that leads to destruction” (Matthew 7:13) is filled with people rejecting reality and truth. “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear” (2 Timothy 4:3).

Romans 3:21-23 = But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Romans 6:23 = For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:8 = But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10:9 = if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

Romans 8:1 = Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus

Romans 12:1-2 = Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual[a] act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
